Effectiveness after 2 years of braces designed with CAD/CAM and simulations in adolescent idiopathic scoliosis - A randomized controlled trial

Kurzbeschreibung

Improving computer-assisted design/manufacturing (CAD/CAM) braces with a finite element model (FEM) resulted in lighter, thinner orthoses covering less surface. Overall correction, compliance and quality of life were clinically satisfactory and equivalent for the standard and simulated braces.
